Ceramic Tiles LabDevice to measure the expansion due to humidity of ceramic tiles according to ISO 10545-10. From the center of the tiles are obtained 100×50 mm specimens which are fired a second time in an oven and then cooled. The specimens are measured a first time with a nickel steel reference bar (invar). Then a prolonged immersion in boiling water is carried out using the ISOWATER instrument. The average of the two measurements before and after the boiling water treatment is then determined, and finally the difference between the two values.
